About

Dr Betty Damianidou

I hold a BSc, MSc, and PhD in Psychology and have over 15 years of practical experience as a psychologist in Europe and Australia, both as a private practitioner and working within a team for various organizations.

My passion for Psychology motivated me to explore different cultures to live and work in a variety of countries through Europe, the Middle East, and Oceania. This diversity helps me to support, respect, and understand people with different cultural and linguistic backgrounds, beliefs and lifestyles. My life experience along with working in various countries across 3 continents in cross-cultural and multi-lingual contexts is what has brought me to where I am today.

I’m a registered psychologist, in both Australia and Greece with dual qualifications in both countries. I have lived and worked in various parts of the world including, The Netherlands, Greece, the Middle East, Malaysia, and Australia. Since 2016, I live and work in Australia.

I have worked in the field of mental health since 2004. My experience is a combination of predominantly clinical work as a private practitioner also working for various organizations as well as working in academia as a Lecturer and Researcher. During those years, I supported individuals across the lifespan (Adults, Children, Adolescents, and Elderly) providing individual, couple, and family therapy.

Throughout those years, I have assisted a wide variety of clients; Adults facing various mental health issues, depression, bipolar and eating disorders as well as relationship difficulties, addictions, anxiety, trauma, and various personality disorders through my private practice both in Europe and Australia.

I speak fluent English and Greek as well as having language certificates in French, and German as well as understanding Arabic and Dutch.
